It’s not to late to register for our 2015-2016 opening choral workshop! Don’t miss out on Marcos Carreras presenting, “21st Century Choral Techniques – Process, Product & Pride,” Saturday, September 19 from 9-12 at the Hartt School in West Hartford. In this workshop, Marcos Carreras will share his philosophy and techniques of choral pedagogy. We’ll discuss engaging performers and audience through authentic performance, based on repertoire selection, text significance, and presentation. Choral directors attending will work through Carreras’s comprehensive plan for teaching choral technique – from ear training and intonation to diction, harmony and movement. We’ll also discuss the process of commissioning new works for your ensembles. This workshop content is a great way to start the school year, for choral directors at any level who wish to spark their students’ passion for singing! Don’t delay! Registration closes on Thursday, September 17. We look forward to seeing you there!
